Thrifted Blazer via Greene Street, AJ Morgan Tortoise Sunnies c/o PLNDR, Belt c/o Romwe, Tights via Charlotte Russe, Dollhouse Boots via UrbanOg

I love this unreasonably oversized blazer coat. I found it on a quiet rack in a thrift store in Princeton. It's far too big to wear as a normal blazer but it works quite well as a coat dress. It makes me miss the local tea house and the gorgeous winter decorations.

As you can see, the flowers are out! But the weather is forever misleading. I hate seeing a sunny sky through my window, crawling out of my hole in a dainty outfit, and feeling cold for the rest of the day. The opposite is even worse...I hate being hot. Haaaaa.

Anybody else freaking out over Game of Thrones this weekend!?

I've been behind the camera nonstop for the past few days. It'll be nice to relax after next week. And even more so after the week after...and the week after. Okay. I'll stop. I've just felt like I've been entirely consumed by my work these past few weeks. Even my weekend was dedicated to filming for two different projects. Hopefully it's all worth it in the end.

Onto the outfit! This is something typical of me. I love button down shirts and muted colors. And, in fact, I've been so obsessed with this shirt I wore it yesterday too. I think it's definitely heading for the laundry basket now. I was happy that today was a little bit chillier so I could bust out these boots again; if you remember I wore them all winter long. 

And check out what Jason got me!!! Can you believe it? It's a signed photo of Chandler Riggs who plays Carl on The Walking Dead. As you know, I'm obsessed with the show so this was a pleasantly unprecedented present. I still can't believe it...

Blazer via Forever21, Top via Roommate (Mariah), No Pants....♥

It was nice to be back in the city after the College Media Convention over spring break. I was assigned to be the producer of a video detailing the intricacies of various modes of transportation on the east coast; it was more fun than I expected. We set out to create a sort of "Amazing Race" segment and I can't wait to edit it later this week. Oh and we had Steak & Shake; possibly the best meal of my life.

This is the other set of photos from the one day of serious snowfall we had this year. As irrational as it sounds, I'll miss winter. I have a penchant for layering which will be practically impossible to satisfy this summer. It gets so damn hot here. Maybe I'll just move to Canada; I've heard good things. 

Today is the last day of my spring break so I should technically be packing. Instead I'm here, posting this, for you all! Haha. And I also want to squeeze in a few more hours of Tales of Vesperia before I leave. Do any of you play that game? It's loads of fun. I hate playing with Estelle, though. She's the only female character we have right now but she's awful in combat. Lame.

I can't get over these boots. They have seriously been on my feet since the start of this year. How can kickass wedge boots be so comfortable?

Feels like an eternity since I've created anything coherent on paper. I actually finished this over winter break but I forgot to post it (Oops!) Yes, I know, it's another coat. I'm starting to feel like that's the only thing I enjoy drawing. Or maybe it's because I'm awful at shoes and dresses...let's go with the former.

It's strange posting these photos now considering the week of 70+ weather we've been having. We only had one major episode of snow this winter (a bit uncharacteristic of the northeast) but I'm not complaining. The only thing that concerns me is this summer; I already hate hot weather but I get the feeling it's going to be oven-like. 

In more pleasant news, I'm only 61 days away from graduating. I'm excited to start living on my own, cooking my own meals regularly, decorating my own space etc. (And, of course, I can't wait to pay bills and be responsible! Haha! ♥)

I recently received this little jar of love from the ladies over at TBD! That said, I can't speak on any "results" yet but I can say I love the smell and feel of it. It's the perfect scent to help you relax right before bed.

In other news, I'm home for break and I've been spending the past few days to catch up on various shows and movies. During the academic year, I rarely have time to dedicate to anything beyond school, work, and hanging out with friends. Alone time is swell. ♥ Now for some tea.

I took a walk in the absurdly nice weather with Mahria today and the oddest thing happened. While snapping outfit photos, a random guy approached us with the attitude of long-time-no-see. We both assumed the other knew him and ended up having a 20 minute conversation; such things would happen to us. Turns out, we both have no idea who he is. 

The best part of today was the caprese sandwich Mahria shared with me over Sherlock and singing Adele obnoxiously loud. Oh and isn't this girl gorgeous!? ♥

I had a thought earlier today. My first year at University I was accepted into a little experiment. The organization that conducted this experiment required us to document our lives in a particular class for the entire semester. During that time, I found that it was much easier to motivate myself to work on that particular class, even more so than classes I was actually interested in. There's undoubtedly a formal term for this but, for now, I'll call it the motivation of being watched. 

We portray ourselves differently at a party or in front of a potential employer. It's why I feel like people don't have personalities but rather tendencies that fluctuate based on the environment. Often, I bask in comfortable clothing regardless of how vanilla it is...and especially when I'm not taking an outfit picture. That's the truth. One of the reasons that I want to start blogging outfits regularly when I graduate is so that I have motivation to get dressed and stay dressed. I want to find clothes that are comfortable but are also aesthetically pleasing. Blogging makes me pretty but it's sometimes uncomfortable. I do hope that the girls wearing super awesome flouncy tops and pleated skirts with pumps during the day swap that outfit out for a night of jeans and converse.

I'm sure you've all come across bloggers that argue changing into an outfit specifically for an outfit post is disingenuous. I don't necessarily agree...that's what people do. They change their clothes. If they specify that this is "what they wore that day" then let's sure hope it is but if not, that's fine too! Can't imagine any sort of blogging law enforcement going after them. If the blogger can create an outfit that is universally beautiful, they've succeeded. If they convey what they hoped to convey, even better! Who's to say what blogging is and isn't? I change several times a day regardless of whether I take outfit photos or not...it's because I love my clothing and I think you should too.

I keep waking up at wildly uncomfortable hours with no desire to do anything or sleep. That said, do any of you have neat-o blogs that I could follow? I feel like my list of favorites is dwindling to an all time low. For me, blogs are tiny doses therapeutic internet browsing; hopefully I'll discover some new (possibly outdoor) activities so I don't have to be hunched over a laptop all day. 

At any rate, I think today will be saved for cleaning, studying, nail-painting, sherlock-watching, and soup-nomming. 

Last one isn't fashion-related, obviously; I decided you guys would be okay with one fuzzy-feet picture.

Feels like these last 72 days can't go by fast enough. Although the thought of planning the beginning of my life is a bit terrifying, I'm excited to not have my face in a book or laptop every moment of the day. It would also be nice to have time for other plans...like drawing and soup-making and whatnot.

At any rate, here's what I wore today. Off to class in a few minutes, but, until then, I'm listening to We're Alive.
